About Add PDF Bookmarks

Bookmarks are the outline panel a PDF viewer shows beside the page. Type one per line as "Title | page", start a line with a dash to nest it under the one above, and the tool writes a proper outline tree - which pdf.js, Acrobat, Chrome and phone viewers all read.

Existing bookmarks can be replaced or kept, and the panel can be set to open automatically.

How to use it

  1. 1Add the PDF.
  2. 2Type your bookmarks, one per line: Introduction | 1
  3. 3Use a leading dash (- Section | 3) to nest a bookmark under the one above.
  4. 4Download the PDF with its outline.
