About Normalise audio volume
Two passes: the first measures the recording against the EBU R128 loudness standard, the second applies one steady gain from those numbers. That keeps the dynamics of the recording instead of squashing it flat like a radio compressor. Targets for podcasts (-16 LUFS), streaming (-14) and broadcast (-23) are built in, and there is a simple peak mode for when all you want is the loudest moment brought up.
