About Unix Timestamp Converter

Paste a number from a log or a database and get the date it means - in UTC, in your own time zone or in any IANA zone such as Asia/Dubai - with the ISO 8601 and RFC 2822 forms and the offset at that instant. Go the other way by picking a date and time.

The unit is guessed from the number of digits, which is what every epoch converter does, and can be set by hand when the guess is wrong. Nanosecond values keep their full precision because they are converted with BigInt rather than a floating-point number.

Time-zone rules come from your browser's own database through Intl, so daylight saving is always up to date and nothing is shipped or uploaded.

How to use it

  1. 1Paste the timestamp, or press 'Use now' for the current one.
  2. 2Leave the unit on detect, or choose seconds, milliseconds, microseconds or nanoseconds.
  3. 3Choose the time zone you want the date shown in.
  4. 4Copy the ISO 8601 string, or use the second panel to turn a date back into a timestamp.
