About HTML Entity Encoder and Decoder

Encoding has four levels: the five characters that must be escaped to put text safely into HTML, the same plus accented and non-Latin characters by name or as numbers, or everything except letters and digits.

Decoding understands the 250 named entities in common use and every numeric entity (م and م), so Arabic and symbols come back correctly.

How to use it

  1. 1Type or paste your text, or open a file.
  2. 2Choose any options - the result updates as you type.
  3. 3Copy the result or download it as a file.
