About Flatten PDF

Flattening a form draws each field's appearance into the page and removes the field, which is what makes a filled form look the same in every reader and stops the values being edited. Comments, highlights, stamps and drawings can be merged the same way.

The stronger option converts every page into an image: nothing on the page can then be selected, copied or edited - and the text is no longer searchable, which the tool tells you before you choose it.

How to use it

  3. 3Or choose "every page to an image" if nothing at all should stay editable.
  4. 4Download the flattened file.
